Welcome to Honors English 9 With Mrs. Sarah E. Miller!
The fact that you've chosen to take this class speaks volumes about your work ethic and conscientiousness. As such, your first opportunity to demonstrate your skills with regard to both reading and writing is your summer reading assignment. The summer reading project demands that you read Mississippi Trial, 1955 by Chris Crowe, and complete a corresponding assignment that will exhibit your ability to think critically and analytically about what you've read. This assignment is due the second day of school, and an objective test on the novel will be given that day. The second part of your summer reading assignment requires you to briefly present details about 3 books that have shaped you as a reader. Please don't hesitate to email me throughout the summer should you have any questions regarding this work. Enjoy your summer, and I look forward to meeting you this fall!
